We are looking for a Legal Editor to join our Publishing Department within Kluwer Law International, as part of Wolters Kluwer Law & Regulatory. We provide the global business community with reliable international legal information in English.
The Legal Editor is responsible for enrichment, creation of content and GenAI activities in assigned practice areas (i.e. IP/ Competition law)
Responsibilities:
Enrichment
Enrichment of our content drives the functionality of our tools and services. It consists of:
Analysis of content (including case law) to extract relevant metadata
Development of rules for enrichment
Building and maintenance of dictionaries (lists with controlled values, including taxonomies)
Instruction of vendors/SMEs on how to implement enrichment rules and/or the coordination of their work in order to meet agreed quality standards
Normalization of data
Content Creation
Has knowledge of/monitors legal developments in assigned practice areas and updates colleagues on major developments and trends
Updates content according to editorial policy
Drafts/edits content for social media and other news services
GenAI
Leads any GenAI activities from a content perspective
Participates in validation of GenAI Q&As and prompt engineering
Collaboration
Works together with other departments on esp. product development/content processing
Advises other departments on practice area specific workflows and practices in order to improve and develop (new) product and functionality meeting customer demands
Administration and Reporting
Ensures that all administrative systems are filled in correctly
Provides monthly reports to Director of Content and Market Development
Requirements:
Education & Experience (factual qualifications)Law Degree or University Degree in relevant practice area
Around 4 years of practical experience in relevant practice area, IP/ Competition law
Fluent in English preferably native speaker, knowledge of at least two other foreign languages preferred
Extended PC skills
Travel >10%
