Legal Entity Controller - Associate

Be part of the Legal Entity Controller’s team that is primarily responsible for the performance of the legal entity control function which covers the timely preparation and submission of financial regulatory reports and the management of the general ledger. We maintain the integrity of financial records by ensuring compliance with regulations, accounting standards and internal policies.

As a Legal Entity Controller - Associate in the Legal Entity Controller’s team, you will be primarily responsible for the performance of the legal entity control function. This includes the timely preparation and submission of financial regulatory reports, management of the general ledger, and ensuring compliance with regulations, accounting standards, and internal policies. You will have the opportunity to liaise with internal, external, and other regulatory auditors, and support the lines of business on any new initiatives. This role provides a challenging and fast-paced environment where your leadership, communication, and analytical skills will be highly valued.

Job responsibilities

Submit regulatory reports to various regulators such as the Securities & Exchange Commission, Bureau of Internal Revenue, among others. Keep abreast with local regulatory and accounting changes, identifies impact and works to ensure compliance Manage the general ledger and other accounting records to ensure its integrity Perform month-end close processes and analytic reviews to ensure quality financial  data and information. Support the lines of business on any new business initiatives Maintain effective application of the Firm’s standard set of internal control standards Liaise with internal, external and other regulatory auditors, including the preparation of the annual Audited Financial Statements 

Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy Minimum of 3 years of Accounting, Auditing or Finance experience  Good knowledge of the Philippines Financial Reporting Standards Strong leadership, communication and analytical skills Highly motivated, can work with very limited supervision, has skills to manage a process or project,  and can collaborate with others in a fast-paced environment

 

Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills

Certified Public Accountant Knowledge of US Generally Accepted Accounting Principles Advance knowledge of Microsoft applications
