Who we are looking for

Join State Street Canada Third Party Risk Management (TPRM) team as Legal Entity Controls, AVP  and collaborate with several State Street teams throughout the organization.

State Street Canada uses third parties to support internal processes and to assist in delivery of products and services to clients.  In order to manage the risks introduced by working with third-party service providers, State Street Canada has a TPRM program (State Street Canada TPRM Program).  The State Street Canada TPRM Program is designed to adheres to the Office of the Superintendent of Financial Institutions (OSFI) B-10 TPRM Guideline and the Global TPRM program which established the policy and standards for conducting risk assessments and related governance activities.  To aid State Street Canada conducting these activities and the internal business areas they support, the Legal Entities and Controls AVP will have primary oversight and maintenance of the program elements, and preparation of quarterly reporting, including reporting to the various SSTCC governance committees.  This role will be instrumental in evolving the current risk management and reporting processes and materials.  The successful candidate will demonstrate strong risk management capabilities, analytical capabilities and the ability to drive execution of the program requirements. 

What you will be responsible for

As Legal Entity Controls AVP you will:

Maintain the accuracy and completeness of the SSTCC Engagement Records Inventory including external and intragroup third party Engagements.Manage the quarterly, annual and ad hoc outreach and timely collection of responses from SSTCC Engagement Managers to support execution of program requirements, including but not limited to performance monitoring, risk & criticality assessments, due diligence (where applicable) and contingency/exit plans.Act as Engagement Manager to a set of internal service engagements by partnering with internal service provider contacts within State Street to effectively monitor and demonstration oversight of each Engagement.Prepare SSTCC governance reporting, including all aspects of daily, monthly, and quarterly reporting, and the data related to such reporting.  Support the Canada TPRM quarterly report to the Risk & Compliance Review Committee to report any issues or key risks identified in Critical, Very High & High Risk Engagements.Be the Legal Entity Reviewer for SSTCC in accordance with the State Street Intragroup Engagement Risk Assessment (IERA) program requirements.Partner with the Global TPRM teams in understanding the design and execution of other enterprise global program to assist in aligning the State Street Canada requirements to the global program.Maintain State Street Canada TPRM program Standard Operating Procedures.  Ensure program enhancements are captured and operationalized into the governance and reporting functions as well as associated procedures.Complete the Legal Entity Officer Checklist and maintain evidence of executed controls program elements in an orderly manner.Understand the connectivity of third party risk data to other enterprise level data such as, risk taxonomy, issues management, incidents, risk and control self-assessmentsSet the agenda for the weekly State Street Canada TPRM team meetings and track and drive completion of the action items. Quality Assurance Testing on a quarterly basis for to confirm appropriate fulfillment of the Engagement Mangers responsibilities. Co-ordinate the equivalent processes with the Canada Branch and SSGMC TPRM Team membersSupport Examiner and Auditor data requests and examinations/audits.Demonstrate flexibility in working outside of direct responsibilities to support emerging State Street Canada TPRM program requirements & changes.

Education and Preferred Qualifications

BS/BA degree required, with preference of Business degree.Minimum of 6-8 years related financial services or investment operations experience with 4-5 years of management responsibility.Experience in relationship management strong verbal and written communications skills and some experience with presentations.Knowledge of computer systems financial operations and/or mutual fund and related industries a plus.MBA desirable.Experience within large complex organizations, including within financial services organizationsExperience working with various risk programs, including risk analysis and risk reportingExperience executing reporting to governance committees.Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly PowerPoint and Excel.Prior experience with Access preferred.
