Job Description

We are seeking a motivated law student to work on legal content and research projects within Practical Law. This internship will have a flexible schedule that adapts to the academic calendar. During the school year, you will work remotely 12-15 hours a week. In the summer, you will transition to a full-time schedule with a hybrid arrangement, spending one or two days in the office and the remainder of the week working remotely. The pay for this internship is $20/hour.

About the Role
In this opportunity as a Legal Intern, you will: 

Draft and edit content such as legal updates, in addition to analyzing and summarizing changes to primary law.

Engage in quality assurance and review of content and linking while providing additional support to Practical Law teams.

Interact with technology, including Practical Law’s publishing platform, tools, and site.

Learn about alternative legal career paths from Practical Law’s team of highly experienced and credentialed staff of attorney editors.

Benefit from a flexible schedule of 10 - 20 hours per week during school terms, and up to 40 hours per week during the summer and while on breaks.


About You

You are a fit for the role of Legal Intern if you:

Have completed the first or second year of an ABA-accredited law school (Required)

Demonstrate strong legal research, writing, and analytical skills.

Possess a high level of technical acumen.

Interpret, analyze, organize, and express complex legal material quickly and accurately.

Possess exceptional communication skills, both oral and written.

Can work independently, consistently meet deadlines, and achieve individual objectives within larger team projects.
