We are looking for a Legal Lead IT & Procurement who is strategic, collaborative, and detail-oriented to join our Legal team, based in our headquarters office in Brussels, Belgium.

 

About the role

The Legal Lead, IT & Procurement will take on a dual role. First, they will serve as the lead lawyer for the IT team, providing strategic counsel to the following Digital Technology teams: Head of Global IT Infrastructure Services, Head of Digital Technology Communication & Change, and Head of Digital Technology Strategy & Digital Business Transformation Solutions. Second, they will act as the lead lawyer for all IT-related procurement contracts.

 

Who you’ll work with

You will work closely with the Head of Legal Digital Technology, IT & Data Privacy, and the Legal Procurement Lead, alongside senior leadership and the Global Procurement Team. Your role will involve building strong relationships with business clients and collaborating with Digital Technology teams.

 

What you’ll do

Provide strategic legal counsel on IT matters across the organization.Ensure compliance with IT-related laws and regulations.Oversee IT procurement negotiations and contract drafting.Collaborate with digital teams to implement technical and organizational safeguards.Build and maintain strong client relationships.Monitor and adapt to changes in IT laws and regulations.

 

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills

Law degree and licensed attorney8+ years of legal inhouse experience with 5+ years’ experience providing strategic IT-related counseling, negotiating and drafting complex IT-related contracts.Expertise in IT-related legal compliance and procurement processes.Strong proficiency in technology, including but not limited to Word, Icertis, Outlook, Adobe, PowerPoint, and ExcelFluency in English is a must.
