Legal Manage
Please note: Temporary Contract (12 months)
Position: Supporting the Legal Department with document preparation, filing, and management of contracts and other legal documentation. Assisting JTI's operations in Serbia, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Bosnia and Herzegovina to ensure compliance with local and international laws. Providing legal assistance to the Legal Director and colleagues in Serbia, ensuring adherence to current legislation.
Responsibilities
Legal Support Overview: Drafting, reviewing, executing, and managing major and minor contracts in Adriatica, including Import & Distribution, KA, marketing, and supporting services. Managing local management decisions and internal acts to ensure smooth operations, while constantly monitoring and reviewing documents and acts. Proceedings: Preparing legal documents (complaints, actions, motions, requests) with departments, representing the company in legal or administrative cases, and adhering to submission deadlines for complaints or appeals. Law Monitoring & Reporting: Analyzing and reporting relevant official announcements (Official Gazette), engaging with state bodies in Serbia on legal matters, and submitting requests/applications per legal requirements. Internal Legal Assistance: Drafting/reviewing contracts with internal and external counsel, seeking legal opinions, and managing payments for external counsel. Marketing Legal Support: Approving RMC-related packaging and marketing materials for Adriatica markets. Collaborating with the Marketing department to improve packaging briefs and layouts and supporting NPD initiatives.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Law; Bar exam passed (desirable). Minimum of 2 years of legal practice in corporate, international, or commercial law (experience in the tobacco industry is considered an advantage). Strong understanding of business operations and legal frameworks. Ability to collaborate effectively within a team and adapt to dynamic environments. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written. Proficiency in English and Serbian. PC literate with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools
