The team you will be a part of The Legal General team performs a variety of legal activities in accordance with the established standards of the legal profession to protect the organization's reputation and business interests and help ensure it complies with all relevant laws and regulations. Prepares legal contracts, letters of agreement, and other documents related to a variety of trade, commercial, financial, and operational matters (e.g., loans, leases, purchase agreements, acquisitions, divestitures, employment contracts). Represents the organization in legal proceedings before courts, government agencies, or other authorities.This role in summary

This position support our EMEA KitchenAid Small Appliances division, as well as other regional operations working on a variety of legal matters across the region including marketing, ecommerce, privacy, sourcing, regulatory and compliance and other ongoing operational matters across Europe, Middle East & Africa, as well as collaborating with regional and global legal team members. 

 

This is a dynamic and fast paced role with opportunity to help drive business results and product leadership to meet the needs of our consumers while proactively protecting the company on legal and regulatory risks as well as helping to drive process improvement and legal training throughout the organization.

 

Outline:

Advise on KitchenAid EMEA and other related operations matters across the region to help the Company achieve strong business results while mitigating risks appropriately and with the ability to drive efficiency and implement key processes across legal and business areas.

Your responsibilities will include Collaborate together with other members of the legal and business team to drive results and protect the Company.Draft, review and advise on sourcing agreements relating to a wide variety of third party relationships, including but not limited, master service agreements, consulting agreements, agreements relating to manufacturing, supply chain and logistics.Advise on a variety marketing, ecommerce, privacy, ecommerce, and related matters, including pricing and promotions, product claim development and substantiation, advertising review and consumer protection lawsAssist with labor, corporate governance, real estate and compliance related matters, as well as help in development of templates, contracts management tools, etcIdentify, develop and implement effective and dynamic legal training, and process to drive education and efficiency across the organizationWork effectively across the organization with others based in Belgium and virtually around the region, including the ability to develop strong internal relationships across various levels of organization to support culture of integrity and values-driven performance and give advice on specific legal matters.Minimum requirements Global business is conducted in English; fluency in French required; German and other languages helpfulQualified lawyer6+ years of relevant post-qualified legal experience. Prior experience in-house, as well as cross- regional experience with emphasis on Belgium, UK, Germany, France, Italy, and Nordic countries is helpfulDemonstrated leadership skills including strong character & integrity values, professionalism, and confidence.Strong interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral) with executives, business clients, and legal staff, being proactive strategic partnerStrong analytical, strategic, organization and management skills, including change management skills to optimize legal support and resources.Ability to work effectively with others and with an appreciation of cultural diversity.Possess keen intellect, and credibility so as to interact effectively and influence management at all levels.Genuine desire to work in an international setting with high level enthusiasm for the diversity of work.What we offer
