Legal Officer has to evolve as a critical position in ensuring legal, regulatory and Group Compliance Program implementation, reporting and providing sound support to N+1 and N+2 (as case by case may be).
This position has to work in a fast paced regulatory changing environment where legal and compliance are a major consideration and key decisions have to made having direct impact on the business performance, image and ethical standards. It has to maintain close coordination within the business and support teams, and with local pool of lawyers and APMO Regional legal team to deliver expectations on compliance.
Primary Function:
Responsible for all legal-related matters within TEMC and its affiliates, which can be in the forms of, but not limited to:
Assisting line manager in reviewing and proofreading ‘Endorsed Contract’, and editing drafts of non-complex contract and other legal document to be submitted to any competent authority (as case may be) that has been submitted by business division for legal review.Assisting line manager with Contract Endorsement Project, in particular translate the Contract and convert endorsed contract from Microsoft word file to non-editable format that will be publish for business division to use. Support line manager, ensuring that the Company and reginal policies are incorporated and adopted into legal contract and other legal document.Responsible to coordinate across departments for contract management and other compliance permit within TEMC with accurate master list and store safely electronically.Assist line manager in coordinating with legal team/lawyer as well as other department within the company on all legal-related matters, queries, cases, issues, and concern.Monitor and summaries of any proposed and enacted legislation, regulations, trade journal and any other similar document.Support line manager in the coordination to organize relevant documents required for the processing compliance permit/certificate.Support any other ad-hoc legal related matters and/or project. Candidate Profile Education: Currently pursing (year 3 or year 4 student) or holding a bachelor degree in law or another degree that includes important studies of the legal field. Experience: with minimum 06 (six) months experience as intern/junior officer in any Legal Firm or administrative executive position in any company. Skills: Ability to work independently; big-picture perspective; team spirit; open-mindedness; listening skills; organizational skills; an interest in supporting teams and managers.
