Legal Operations - Central Support Associate

As a member of the Law Department Operations Central Support team, this role reports to the Head of Information Management and will provide key support to Operations across all Practice groups within the Law Department.

Specific responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Primary responsibilities would include records management, matter and outside council intake, business continuity planning, and various ad-hoc and assigned projects within the department.Provide support to all Practice Groups across the legal department, including document management, legal matters/records management, and outside council onboarding.Preparing and delivering a variety of reports to department personnel and other business units.Legal invoicing support and other responsibilities associated with department needs.Creation and development of advanced PowerPoints for all Practice Groups and Senior Leadership.Aggregating, tracking, and reporting on all key OKR’s and KPI’s for the Law Dept projects and DEI initiatives.

The base salary range for this position is $50,000 - $55,000. Actual base salaries vary based on skills, experience, and geographical location. In addition to base pay, Equitable provides compensation to reward performance with base salary increases, spot bonuses, and short-term incentive compensation opportunities. Eligibility for these programs depends on level and functional area of responsibility.

Required Qualifications:

1 year paralegal/legal assistant experience in a law firm or corporate law department or records management experience preferred.Demonstrated advanced knowledge and application of Microsoft Office

Preferred Qualifications:

Strong knowledge and history of developing expert level PowerPoint presentations for Senior Leadership Prior project management support experience

Skills:

Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understand the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high-level of precision

Document Management: Knowledge of document management; ability to categorize, integrate, update, document and distribute business information in a secure, effective way.

Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication behaviors.

Managing Multiple Priorities: Knowledge of effective self-management practices; ability to manage multiple concurrent objectives, projects, groups, or activities, making effective judgments as to prioritizing and time allocation.

Matter Intake Process:Conduct preliminary intake review by gathering relevant facts and identifying legal issues

Problem Solving:Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

Self-Starter and Team Collaboration: Ability to successfully work alone and to maintain a team player attitude.
