What You Can Expect

The Manager, Global Legal Operations will work closely with the Head of Global Legal Operations and business stakeholders at all levels of the Company. With minimal direction, the Manager, Global Legal Operations is a broad generalist role that manages activities of one or more project teams engaged in the evaluation, design and implementation of projects for Global Legal Operations. Oversee various assigned projects across the full range of subject matter supported by Global Legal Operations partnering with various business units and vendors. Projects are complex in nature, including assessment, design, planning, implementation, and measurement of the success of various transformational operational improvement initiatives across the department that impact the business focusing on people, process and technology. Responsible for project team assembly, assigning responsibilities, identifying appropriate resources and developing schedules to ensure timely completion of projects in support of the Head of Global Legal Operations and General Counsel’s strategic plan.  Serves as a subject matter/ database administrator on various databases and provides change management, user training and database support. Assists teams by providing training resources to foster adoption of systems, processes and the creation of centers of excellence.  Collaborates with stakeholders to ensure assigned projects are completed on schedule, within budget, and meet technical, scope and enhancement requirements. 

How You'll Create Impact Supports the Global Legal Operations Leadership with planning, execution, reporting and metrics in alignment with the General Counsel’s objectives.Responsible for building and maintaining a Contract Life Cycle (CLM) Center of Excellence and other Centers of Excellence targeted at operational efficiencies Globally. Gathers and compiles project information, defines project success measures and measure project output against those KPIsCoordinates the activities of multiple projects, work streams, or functional areasIdentifies opportunities for creating efficiency and savings, sharing best practices, and improving processes within the Legal team’s organizational structure, systems, and technologies; responsible for results in terms of costs, methods, and outcomesResolves issues and ensures task completion by establishing priorities and reaching compromise with team members and functional managersInterprets and executes existing policies and procedures that affect management; recommends and drafts new or modified procedures and processes, driving these with planning, goal setting, and metrics measurement in alignment with the Global Legal Operations Leadership and General Counsel’s objectives.Designs and leads special projects that are highly sensitive or complex in nature, requiring a high-level of independence and initiative in execution and implementation. Evaluates, communicates, champions, and provides business cases (including identification and mitigation of project risks) for new services and projects that increase effectiveness and enhance the value being created by Legal Operations. Leads and supports Global Legal Operations projects, including project design, execution, change management, training, communications, and necessary escalations to ensure that potential impact is realized.Establishes daily tasks necessary for successful project execution and maintains tracker and ticketing system of the sameCollaborates with all levels of stakeholders to establish objectives, timelines, milestones, and budgetsResolves issues and ensures task completion by establishing priorities and reaching compromise with team members and functional managersRecommends project or program decisions, procedures, or policies to higher level managementDevelops mechanisms for monitoring project progress and for intervention and problem solvingAnalyzes gathered data for decision making in conjunction with other project leadersDevelops and manages policies and procedures that affect project managementMentors and assigns task to junior team members.  Acts as project lead who manages allocated resources for projects, trains others and reports out on team progress.

 Education/Experience Requirements Bachelor’s degree and a minimum of 6+ years of experience in legal project management, legal department/ law firm matter management or operations successfully delivering projects ORAdvance degree and a minimum of 5+ years of experience OR A minimum of 10+ years of experiencePMI, Six Sigma or relevant certification a plus 
 Travel Expectations Up to 10%
