Make your mark for patients

We are looking for a Legal Procurement Lead who is strategic, proactive and collaborative to join our Legal team, based in our headquarters in Brussels, Belgium.

 

About the role

You will lead the Legal Procurement Team, providing strategic counsel to the Chief Procurement Officer and her leadership team on legal and procurement issues. You will also manage a small, global team and support procurement-related contracts, ensuring seamless legal support for the Global Procurement Team.

 

Who you’ll work with

You will work closely with the Chief Procurement Officer, her leadership team, and other lawyers supporting procurement activities globally. Your team includes two U.S.-based paralegals and an HQ-based lawyer, with whom you'll ensure consistent and efficient legal support for the Global Procurement Team.

 

What you’ll do

Manage a small, global team supporting the Global Procurement Team.Collaborate with non-direct reports for seamless procurement coverage.Create and implement a vision for Legal’s support of Global Procurement.Provide strategic legal counsel on procurement issues.Draft, review, and negotiate complex procurement contracts.Ensure consistent use of the company’s Contract Lifecycle Management (CLM) tool.

 

Interested? For this role we’re looking for the following education, experience and skills

Degree in Law10+ years’ experience in negotiating and drafting complex contracts.5+ years’ experience supporting procurement teams.Proven experience in team management and collaboration skills.Experience in the biopharmaceutical, medical device, and/or life sciences industry is strongly preferred.Strong problem-solving, organization, and communication skillsProficiency in technology including Word, Icertis, Outlook, Adobe, PowerPoint, and Excel.
