Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Lead the review of contracts for various required information to ensure contracts meet all previously determined criteria.  Edit contracts when necessary to meet basic requirements. • Responsible for communicating with appropriate department contact to alert of missing contract information. • Ensure proper monitoring of all newly opened business case for each new contract created in the record keeping system. • Partner with Executives to facilitate the contract review and approval process to obtain required signatures and other necessary information.   • Prepare written correspondence, legal opinions, corporate documents and various other documents including but not limited to letters, memos, and reports. • Attend National Labor Relations Commission (NLRC) hearings and coordinate with government agencies. • Assist the Assistant General Counsel in legal work and projects, as assigned.  Monitor and track progress of special projects until completion. • Regularly report with management team regarding status of individual and team projects and concerns for resolution. • Track individual and team performance against targets on a monthly basis, and report progress of projects to Contracts/Legal Team. Escalate any performance-related issues or concerns to management. • Train new employees and coach existing employees. • Effectively communicate expectations to all team members. • Identify and enforce positive behaviors through formal and informal reward and recognition. • Head and participate in team meetings. • Responsible for understanding and complying with all policies, procedures, and regulations relating to job duties. • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in related field required. Graduate of Bachelor of Laws preferred, or completed at least 36 units of post-graduate law studies.

 Experience:

• At least 3 years previous legal department experience required. 5 years previous legal department experience preferred.

 Knowledge, Skills, Abilities & Other Characteristics:  

• Proficient personal computer skills, including Microsoft Office. Microsoft SharePoint experience preferred.• Demonstrates leadership, oral, written, presentation and analytical skills.• Ability to develop and mentor team members.• Ability to understand and execute policies and procedures.  • Excellent interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills.• Ability to maintain the highest level of confidentiality.• Ability to work independently, takes initiative, and responds to rapidly changing priorities in a multi-tasked environment.• Ability to work in a team fostered environment.• Ability to prioritize and organize work.• Ability to adapt to a flexible schedule.
