Responsibilities Gatekeeping Develop strategies and implement effective policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local laws and regulations. Monitor changes in the legal and regulatory environment, advise management of significant legal developments and collaborate with the management and related functions to develop appropriate strategies. Maintain strong awareness in the company of legal risks of the business. Conduct trainings to increase awareness and ensure compliance with laws and internal processes in company. Corporate bookkeeping. Manage and coordinate corporate actions required for the operations of the company. General assembly meetings (annual-ordinary) Signature authorities and representation powers Board of directors’ decisions Capital and dividend actions Data privacy and information governance. The counsellor will be responsible for overseeing the company’s data protection strategy and its implementation to ensure compliance with local and global data privacy requirements. The counsel, working closely with information technology department and with all functions that collect, process, store or transfer personal information, will review company information governance and implement local policies and provide training to support these policies. Litigation The counsellor will manage all litigation and enforcement proceedings by working with external lawyers to ensure that the management is informed about the current situations by reporting when necessary. Marketing Counsel will be also working closely with the marketing department, controlling and approving advertising content, reviewing product designs from a legal perspective and providing legal advice and support in all other marketing processes. Qualifications Graduate from a credible law faculty Attorney’s license Legal background of minimum 7 years with sufficient litigation experience Good command of English and Turkish, able to understand and communicate with legal terms and terminology Strong priority setting (able to prioritize between diverse legal matters and conflicts and a day-to-day counselling need of a whole range of functions in the company. Strong communication skills, impactor & influencer High analytical skills, results oriented, proactive (ability to find actionable, pragmatic solutions) Ability to represent high profile organizations and to tackle complex and ambiguous issues, Strong negotiation skills
