Job TitleLegal Support Intern

Job Description

As a Legal Support Intern you will establish, maintain and implement policies and practices related to creating and maintaining an active involvement in the legal and regulatory processes of covered Competent Authorities in South Africa.

Start date: 15 April 2025

Duration: 12 months


Your role:

• Draft of legal documents - contracts, addenda's, complaints, replies to complaints, communications with clients, official letters, pleadings in commercial, consumer, tender, and administrative proceedings.

• Research of case law, update of regulations and legislation. Study of specific business cases in civil, commercial and administrative law.

• Management and update of online and offline contract archives and contract document registration.

• Support in the creation of in-house training materials on privacy and compliance (healthcare compliance).

• Support in corporate matters.

• General support of Legal Department in internal requests (Tenders, Service, Consumer, Tax, Finance and HR teams).



You're the right fit if:

1. You are a 2023-2025 graduate with a Bachelor’s or Master's Degree in Law, Legal Studies or related field.

2. You are a South African Graduate and have completed all modules/credits for the qualification mentioned above with a minimum of 60%

3. Fluent in English

4. Analytical and critical thinking skills

5. Previous legal experience preferred
