Our people are at the heart of this progress: that's why we make sure they have access to the best support, development, and training opportunities. Staff will also have access to regional training and attending national working groups, in addition to the excellent training on offer from Lincolnshire.

Adoption social work is challenging - we're making sure it's challenging for the right reasons.

This is what potential looks like

Lincolnshire is an Outstanding Authority; Lincolnshire County Council specialise in providing excellent adoption services and support for children and young people who have diverse needs because of their early experiences. We endeavour to create an adoption experience that is individually tailored to the needs of children in our care, enabling them to express their characters, feel safe and enrich their lives.

As a Level 2 Children’s Services Adoption Social Worker, you’ll take a lead in twin-tracking for children who have a care plan for adoption, completing child permanence reports, working together through the court process, finding suitable placements, preparing children for moving to their adoptive family, completing link reports for panel, then placing the child and supporting  adoptive families, until the adoption order is granted.

Day to day, you’ll be using our Signs of Safety methodology to collaborate with families and empower them to find their own solutions. You’ll also navigate the family justice systems to support young people and families while continuously developing your own knowledge of child development and attachment theory. You will build on your understanding of the complex needs of children who have a plan of adoption and develop ways to best support adoptive families, children and their birth families.

If you’re a conscientious and resilient Social Worker and are registered with Social Work England as a social worker with a talent for relationship building, we want to hear from you.

Take your next step with us today and use your skills where they matter most.
