What you'll do:

The LFI Data Manager will manage a team within Business Data Governance to prepare for Large Financial Institution (LFI) status. This role will focus on ensuring data requirements are met for Reg YY and other related reporting regulations (e.g. FR 2052a, FR Y-14, FR Y-15, etc.). The successful candidate will oversee the development and implementation of data governance policies, manage data quality and compliance initiatives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. Strong leadership, project management, and expertise in banking regulations are essential.

What we are looking for:

The candidate will work on reviewing and managing business requirements documents, creating and executing test cases, identifying defects, and working with technology teams to remediate issues.Development of business data requirements and rules as required by FRB regulations for a Category IV institution and to reflect changes in the business requirements documents.Work closely with various Project Teams to report and resolve any issues (i.e., LFI Program Office, Accounting, Treasury, Regulatory Reporting, Technology, etc.).Manage and participate in workshops to flesh out and problem-solve certain requirements, data gaps, defects, and questions.Provide input into Technology’s deliverables to ensure the Technology’s implementation success.Ability to query data in Azure SQL-based databases with 2-3 years of experience writing SQL queries.User Acceptance Testing of Technology’s development before implementation into production.Analysis of data used in regulatory reporting (i.e., FR 2052a, FR Y-14, FR Y-15, etc.) and working with Data, Technology, and Business groups to determine and resolve data gaps. This would provide input into the data mapping and technology-owned functional requirements.Consolidating work and working into overall program initiative.Where necessary, assist with overall project administration and chasing actions items that are open that impact the overall project.Manage and mentor a team of analysts, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.

What you need to have:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Technology, or another related field required. Master’s degree in relevant field is a plus.Minimum of 5 years of experience with increasing responsibility at a bank with relevant accounting experience, capital, and liquidity, and/or public accounting advisory experience required.Strong knowledge of Reg YY and other related regulations (i.e., FR 2052a, FR Y-14, FR Y-15, etc.).Strong knowledge of data analysis tools (e.g., SQL, Excel) and data visualization platforms (e.g., Tableau, Power BI).Expertise in data modeling, data validation, and database design.Exceptional MS Office skills (including Excel pivot tables). Experience with other applications is a plus.Experience with performing User Acceptance Testing.Excellent leadership and team management skills, with a track record of building and developing high-performing teams.Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage and influence senior stakeholders.Solid management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines.Experience with regulatory reporting platforms such as Axiom preferred.
