PDS Tech Commercial is looking for a Senior Product Review Engineer to support our Portland, OR site. Pay Rate: $64.90 – $81.49 per hour Schedule: Variable shifts (1st, 2nd, 3rd), including weekends Location: Fully onsite in Portland, OR What You’ll DoAs a Product Review Engineer, you will be a critical part of our production and repair operations. Key responsibilities include:
Analyze and resolve non-conformance issues by conducting root cause analysis and developing corrective actions. Apply engineering principles to troubleshoot technical, operational, and quality issues throughout the product lifecycle. Work closely with manufacturing teams to develop and implement product/process improvements. Ensure compliance with standards and work with suppliers and build partners to resolve technical challenges. Develop repair solutions for machined aerospace parts, ensuring structural integrity and performance. Conduct static strength analysis and design interim structural repairs as needed. Support design reviews, accident investigations, and aircraft repair teams. Work in a factory environment, which includes high noise areas, chemical hazards, and hands-on work with aircraft components. Participate in a 9-month Training Rotation Program, which may involve shift rotations and travel assignments. Required Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering from an ABET-accredited program. 10+ years of experience in structures, systems, design, or production engineering. Prior Material Review Board (MRB) experience (10+ years preferred). Ability to work onsite full-time and rotate between first, second, and third shifts as needed. This position requires use of information or access to facilities subject to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and/or Export Administration Regulations (EAR). These regulations may limit access of controlled technologies: 1) to U.S. Persons, including U.S. Citizens, lawful permanent residents, and other narrow categories including refugees and asylees, or 2) to certain foreign nationals that have received an export license.Preferred Qualifications Materials & Manufacturing – Knowledge of steel, aluminum, and titanium properties, machining, forging, and finishing processes. Machining & Tolerancing – Experience with GD&T (True Position, Parallel Surface, Bonus Tolerance), machining practices, and metrology. Gears & Shafts – Understanding of gear tables, spline profiles, fit-up requirements, and gear interaction principles. Material Processing – Experience with heat treatment, plating, anodizing, and protective coatings. Functional Testing – Ability to diagnose performance issues and interpret functional test results at the aircraft level. Repair & Rework – Knowledge of bushing installations, heli-coils, corrosion protection, and refinishing techniques. Apply Today
