Job Summary: The Liaison/MRB Engineer will interface with multiple suppliers and stakeholder groups (such as Structural Analysis, Materials & Processing and Manufacturing personnel) in the design center and build facilities. Will be responsible for dispositioning discrepant material tags. Strong communication and collaboration skills are a must. Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System, MES, and a Northrop Grumman MRB EN signature is a plus. The successful candidate will have experience with designing repairs for discrepant detail parts and assemblies fabricated from composite materials.
This requisition may be filled as either a Liaison Engineer (level 2) or Principal Engineer (level 3) based on the qualifications below.
Basic Qualifications:
Liaison Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and a minimum 2 years related professional/military experience; OR Master's degree in a STEM discipline with 0 years of related professional/military experience
Principal Engineer: Bachelor's degree in a Science, Technology, Engineering or Mathematics (STEM) discipline and a minimum 5 years related professional/military experience; OR Master's degree in a STEM discipline and minimum 3 years of related professional/military experience
Hands-on experience in a composites manufacturing facility
Experience with military specs and standards
Experience with repair processes for composite materials used in aerospace structures
Must be willing and able to work 2nd Shift Hours: 2:30p.m - 12: 00a.m EST
Must have the ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearanceMust have the ability to obtain and maintain Special Access Program (SAP) clearance
Preferred Qualifications:
Current active Secret clearance or higher
Degree in Mechanical or Aeronautical Engineering
Current NGAS MRB buyoff authority. "EN".
Knowledge of Manufacturing Execution System (MES)
Experience interfacing with a military customer
Salary Range: $77,200.00 - $115,800.00Salary Range 2: $95,300.00 - $142,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Employees may be eligible for a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
