Summary This position is located at SGT Yano Library, Schofield Barracks, Hawaii (Island of Oahu). The Schofield Barracks Library at Schofield Barracks, serves as a public library for the military communities of Schofield Barracks, Wheeler Army Air Field, HMR, and surrounding area. Responsibilities Provides technician support by performing a wide variety of direct services to the public: registers patrons, charges/discharges materials, processes overdues and reserve. Assists with interlibrary loans and reserves, shelves library materials, prepares displays, programs activities, answers basic reference questions, and assists customers in locating materials. Provides technical services support in a variety of functions: basic/copy cataloging, ordering/receiving/processing and de-acquisitioning of library materials. Assists in maintaining accountability records and in performing shelf inventories. Performs simple maintenance on the library's automated systems. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Minimum Qualifications Must meet ONE of the following qualifications listed below: 1. One year of specialized experience at the next lower grade. 2. Two years of education above high school OR.. 3. A combination of specialized experience and education that equates to 100% of the qualification requirements. Pay-Band (NF) Allowances and Differentials This is a pay-banded position. Sunday premium pay may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. If authorized, only regular (full-time, part-time, limited tenure and seasonal) employees may be paid Sunday premium pay. When authorized, Sunday premium will be paid at the rate of 25% of the basic rate for all hours of non-overtime, when any part of the scheduled tour of duty is performed on Sunday (to a maximum of 8 hours per Sunday). Night differential may be authorized by the Garrison Commander. Non-Foreign Overseas Allowances Non-foreign overseas allowances, cost of living (COLA), and differentials will not be paid, contingent upon eligibility.
