Overview:
The Licensing Compliance & Safety Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of licensing, dealer licensing, permitting, and workplace safety compliance across Fun Town RV locations. This role ensures that Fun Town RV remains in full compliance with federal, state, and local regulations by coordinating with internal departments and regulatory agencies. The position involves managing a high volume of legal documents and sensitive information, requiring strong attention to detail, exceptional organizational skills, and adherence to deadlines.
Responsibilities:
Dealer Licensing & Business Licensing Oversight
+ Coordinate with corporate management, state officials, and licensing authorities to ensure that new inventory product brands are correctly added to dealership licenses.
+ Oversee the application, renewal, and management of dealer licenses and all other business licenses to ensure full compliance.
+ Maintain organized records of dealer licenses and business licenses, ensuring timely renewals and updates to reflect accurate business activities.
Employee Certifications & Safety Compliance
+ Collaborate with HR and Service Management to verify that applicable employees are certified with the Texas Railroad Commission (RRC) and maintain all required certifications.
+ Ensure employees obtain and maintain Texas Vehicle Inspection Licenses as required, in partnership with HR and Service departments.
+ Manage and update OSHA-required materials, such as SDS books and emergency process binders, ensuring consistent implementation of safety programs across all locations.
Regulatory Coordination & Document Management
+ Process and manage high volumes of legal documents and confidential company records with discretion, accuracy, and compliance.
+ Maintain up-to-date knowledge of licensing, dealer licensing, and safety regulations to proactively address changes or new requirements.
+ Prepare and distribute licensing, dealer licensing, safety materials, and documentation to relevant teams and locations.
+ Coordinate and oversee regulatory audits, including BDR and dealer licensing reviews, and ensure prompt resolution of any findings.
Communication & Relationship Building
+ Maintain professional communication and conduct when interacting with state representatives, internal teams, and external partners.
+ Act as the primary point of contact for licensing, dealer licensing, and safety compliance inquiries, offering guidance and expertise to location managers and departments.
+ Support ongoing compliance initiatives and lead process improvements related to licensing, dealer licensing, and safety programs.
General Management & Administrative Support
+ Participate in continuous improvement projects related to licensing, dealer licensing, and safety.
+ Perform additional related duties as assigned by the Director of Compliance.
Supervisory Responsibilities:
+ This position does not have direct supervisory responsibilities but requires strong leadership, influence, and coordination with cross-functional teams and location managers.
Requirements
+ High school diploma or equivalent required; additional coursework or certifications in compliance, safety, or business management a plus.
+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
+ Strong interpersonal and customer service abilities.
+ Highly organized with exceptional attention to detail.
+ Comfortable managing sensitive and confidential information.
+ Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace applications (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Calendar, Drive, and Meet).
+ Demonstrated ability to learn and adapt to new tools, systems, and processes.
+ Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
Physical Requirements:
+ Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
+ Occasional periods of standing and walking during training sessions or events.
+ Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds on occasion.
+ Occasional travel to locations to support licensing, dealer licensing, and safety initiatives.
