Shift: Days 8:00 AM - 4:30 PM M-F with rotating weekends & holidays

GENERAL SUMMARY:

Provides behavioral health counseling services.

Responsibilities:

Conducts patient assessments and establishes therapy treatment goals. Administers individual and group therapy. Maintains thorough and confidential records of observations. Evaluates progress and effectiveness of therapy interventions. Provides patient with information regarding resources and therapeutic activities in the community. Works directly with the patient, family, physician and community providers to ensure active and collaborate care from the initiation of treatment to the time of discharge. 

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE REQUIRED

Master's degree required BLS Provider through the American Heart Association State of Michigan Licensed Counselor or Social Worker  Comfortable doing Groups, psycho-social assessments, and dc planning Additional Information Organization: Henry Ford Macomb - Oakland Hospitals Department: Social Service 001 Shift: Day Job Union Code: Not Applicable
