Job Description

Our client located at Newmarket, Ontario is seeking a Licensed Electrician (442A), responsible for wiring tools and all associated equipment used primarily within robotic/automated assembly lines for the automotive industry. The Electrician is also responsible for final line integration and ensuring the line meets the Ontario Electrical Safety Code.

 

This will be a permanent day shift position (8 hour per day).

Pay rate- $35-$38/hr

Start date: ASAP

This is a contract to permanent position

 

RESPONSIBILITIES:

Good knowledge of the electrical code, blue print reading and electrical schematics. Knowledge of programming robots, Motoman, Fanuc, ABB and Nachi. Familiar with trouble shooting precision equipment, motors (AC&DC), Boring Mills and PLC. Must be able to use hand tools (pipe benders, hydraulic knock-out, crimpers, and soldering iron). Operate various tools and equipment (genie lift, drill press, hydraulic bender, megger). Panel building and Machine wiring. Provide continuous guidance and training to Electrical Apprentices as assigned. Perform office wiring and building maintenance as required. Prioritize steps within the job to accomplish tasks in a reasonable amount of time. Perform assigned tasks in a safe manner and know how to properly lock out all energy sources, including stored energy. Ensure that your work area is kept clean, tidy and organized at all times to prevent accidents and produce quality products. Report all unusual circumstances and actively participate in and support Continuous Improvements. Perform other related duties as required Requirements

REQUIREMENTS:

Recognized Certificate of Qualification as Industrial Electrician or Construction and Maintenance Electrician Minimum 5 years’ experience required in automotive tooling and integration. Good communication and organizational skills Must have own tools Ability to work as a team member and individually Ability to manage multiple tasks within the trade Create and maintain Product Bill of Materials Read and interpret electrical blue prints, schematics and specifications.
