Key Responsibilities:
First point of contact for customers requesting to meet with a PlanRight advisorConduct all meetings over the phone and record daily activities using SalesforceAddress customer’s immediate questions, concerns, review their Manulife Group Retirement Savings plan (if applicable), ensure they are making the most of their group plan and do a general fact find to assess other possible gaps in their over financial situationProactively identify opportunities and make recommendations to help clients achieve their financial goals; recommend solutions considering the clients' current situation, risk profile, time horizon, and other personal factorsFulfill some sales transactions over the phone such as asset consolidations and retention and skillfully refer certain clients to our second tier PlanRight advisors, who can offer holistic financially planning and offer both investment as well as insurance solutions. Proactively communicate with clients and respond to developing needs, resolve issues or problems and following up as appropriate Provide back office sales support to elite second tier PlanRight advisors; this could include investigating client enquiries, assisting with financial plans, etc.Manage your pipeline of leads and Achieve results
Successfully manage a sales pipeline and demonstrate a high closing rateActively follow up on a steady stream of leads provided to you by ManulifeDevelop and share ongoing best practices, sales, marketing and business development ideas and strategies with peersOngoing Training & Development
Participate in an extensive onboarding program as you transition into the roleCreate and maintain a professional development planEngagement in on-going coaching sessions & observations with your sales managerParticipate in on-going training sessions to further develop skillsQualifications
Minimum 2 year of successful experience as a Financial Advisor Life License Qualification Program (LLQP) in good standingMFDA or IIROC licensed or previously licensed within the last 2 years. If not currently licensed, must be willing to obtain one of these licenses prior to start dateCertified Financial Planning designation (or in process of attaining or willing to obtain) Knowledge of Manulife products and systems would be an asset Experience working with Salesforce and Conquest would be an assetComputer skills, and a general knowledge level of the MS Office suite of productsSuccessfully completed a formal sales training programSkills required:
Basic understanding of regulatory / legal environment and issues impacting the sale of life insurance and investment productsExperience in preparing, developing and presenting financial plans to clientsAbility to work independently and possesses self -management skills to complete workload in a timely fashion and manage competing prioritiesSelf-motivated and goal oriented to meet sales and sales targets while growing your book of businessCoachable: open to innovative approaches and takes actions to continuously improveDemonstrated ability to develop effective and professional working relationships with clients and other Manulife partnersProven problem resolution and conflict management skills to ensure an effective solution is reached for our customersAbout Manulife and John Hancock
