Our Comprehensive Psychiatric Emergency Program is a fast-paced crisis intervention program that provides a full range of observation and outpatient psychiatric services for all ages. We are a State designated Community Health Center.
What you will do:
Crisis intervention and triage patients to the appropriate setting: waiting areas – voluntary or involuntary, children/family or emergency department evaluations. Care for and provide treatment modalities to outpatient and extended observation clients. Responsible for providing intensive casework, assessment, intervention, and referral services to patients and/or their families. Emphasis is placed on providing for patient’s social needs, exercising initiative and independent judgement based upon professional knowledge, experience, and hospital policy.Collaborative team approach with social work, psychiatrists, clinical affiliates, and unit support staff.Liaison to other services along the continuum of care and community support services.Cross train with Mobile Crisis Outreach (MCO)Mission Statement:

Masters Degree in Social Work from an accredited college or university, and passing exam offered by ASWB and licensure as Aa LMSW through State of New York.Participates in orientation and continuing education and updates and maintains knowledge and skills related to specific areas of expertise.Special Equipment, Skills or Other Requirements:
Have a good understanding of behavioral health crisis intervention. Ability to communicate effectively with patient, family, medical team, and other professions within hospital and in the community.Knowledge of community resources. Current BLS/CPR certificationWork Environment and Hazards:

Pay is based on experience, skills, and education. Exempt positions under the Fair Labor Standards Act (FLSA) will be paid within the base salary equivalent of the stated hourly rates. The pay range may also vary within the stated range based on location
