Summary
Independently performs a variety of financial and administrative duties.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
+ Supports and promotes the mission and values of Covenant Health Ministry.
+ Responsible and accountable for managing accurate financial transactions and reporting for the School of Nursing.
+ Prepares various reports and summarizes other data of substantial importance of a confidential nature.
+ Creates and maintains accurate financial records as per requirement for Federal and State audits, NH Board of Nursing program approval and accreditors.
+ Manages Bursar responsibilities related to student billing, drawing down of federal financial aid, disbursement of aid and refunds to students, oversight and input into tuition and fees, billing practices including FACTS payments, financial aid and scholarship disbursement, tax reports for students, manages late payments and delinquent accounts, assists with financial audits, communicates with hospital finance department.
+ Organizes financial and academic records, maintains records according to federal, state, and accreditation standards. Assists with data collection related to required reporting such as IPEDs, accreditors, state and hospital officials.
+ Prepares reports related to school finances.
+ Collaborates with the Enrollment Services and Financial Aid Manager to ensure a seamless financial experience for students.
+ Works as a team member with other administrative roles in the school, sharing and delegating work as needed.
+ Does not need Epic access.
+ Other duties as consistent with this role.
Job Requirements
Job Knowledge and Skills
+ Extensive computer skills.
+ Knowledge of accounting and bookkeeping.
+ Customer service skills.
Education and Experience
+ BS in accounting, finance, business or related field preferred.
An equivalent combination of education and experience which provides proficiency in the areas of responsibility listed above may be substituted for the above education and experience requirements.
Working Conditions/Physical Demands
Must possess the physical and mental abilities to perform the tasks normally associated with this position that involves a combination of sitting, standing, walking, bending, stooping, and reaching. Occasional lifting/carrying of audiovisual equipment up to 25 lbs. Some stress related to high level of responsibility for quality care.
