Description

Position Summary:

Responsible for treatment of inpatients and outpatients upon delegation from the physical therapist. The PTA follows the plan of care for each patient and is responsible for communication with the PT and referral to the PT for patient’s reassessment. PTA documents in accordance with the hospital’s policies and procedures relative to care and treatment of patients.

Qualifications

Education: 

Minimum: 

Experience and education must be any combination recognized by the state of Florida for license as a Physical Therapist Assistant  Associate Degree in Physical Therapy Assistance 

Experience: Preferred: 

One year experience in an acute care hospital as a Physical Therapist Assistant 

Other Qualifications: 

Current Florida Physical Therapist Assistant License  Current American Heart Association BLS card 

Required Certifications: American Heart Association BLS card
