GiaCare is now accepting resumes for a civilian Licensed Practical Nurse to work full-time in anticipation for a future position at McConnel AFB (Wichita, KS)

Job Qualifications:

Degree/Education: Certificate. Graduate from an accredited community college, junior college, college, university or vocational nursing program approved by the appropriate State agency and accredited by the Commission on Nursing Education Accreditation (CNEA).

Experience: One year of practical or vocational nurse experience after graduation. Practiced as an LPN performing hands-on patient care in the outpatient clinical setting for at least 12 months within the past 24 months.

Licensure: Current, full, active and unrestricted license as a practical or vocational nurse. 

Certifications: Basic Life Support

Job Duties: 

Provide Separation Health and Physical Examinations (SHPE) related support that complies with Department of Defense and Air Force SHPE policy and guidance.Have a working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications and become proficient in the use of the following computer systems: Composite Health Care Systems (CHCS) – Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA), Aeromedical Services Information Management System (ASIMS), and Preventive Health Assessment and Individual Medical Readiness (PIMR)Recognize urgent or emergent patient care situations, seek assistance of the RN and/or MD/DO/NP/PA and initiate appropriate emergency interventions as directed.
