Performs platelet apheresis, whole blood and other blood product collection procedures using procedural specific equipment safely per manufacturer specifications and SOP under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Recognizes and treats adverse reaction/injury and treats per SOP. Salary range for this position is $53,347 annually - $64,330 annually which consists of a base salary and geographic differential. This includes a comprehensive benefits package.Qualifications:Required Education and ExperienceLicense Requirement
License or permit to practice as a Licensed Practical Nurse in the State of New York.
Education and Experience
Graduation from an accredited practical nursing school’s LPN program.
NOTE:
Required degrees must have been granted by an accredited college or university or one recognized by Roswell Park Comprehensive Cancer Center as following acceptable educational practices.
Preferred Qualifications:
The preferred candidate will have previous apheresis, whole blood and or dialysis procedure related experience; excellent phlebotomy skills; have the ability to adapt to changing priorities and have excellent customer service skills and the ability to work with a variety of personalities.
