Responsibilities:

Provide nursing care as an LPN, using sound judgment based on knowledge, experience, and competency. Collaborate with RNs and healthcare team members to ensure patient care remains within the LPN scope of practice and seek guidance when needed. Perform focused assessments, formulate care plans, and document patient information comprehensively to promote effective communication. Follow UPMC policies, LPN Practice Guidelines, and state regulations to ensure safe and high-quality care. Build compassionate, patient-centered relationships and provide education to patients and families for smooth transitions of care. Participate in unit activities, support continuous learning, and seek performance feedback for professional growth. Identify opportunities for quality improvement in patient care and the workplace. Maintain work-life balance while demonstrating accountability, cultural awareness, and a commitment to safe practices.
