Job Title: Licensed Practical Nurse

Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) with a minimum of 6 months of experience and an active New York State LPN license held for at least 6 months. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as experience in long-term care settings.

ResponsibilitiesEndorse, interpret, and enforce the objectives and procedures of the facility and the Nursing Department.Plan, direct, coordinate, delegate, and evaluate the activities of all nursing personnel within the assigned area.Conduct daily rounds to monitor patient care and facility operations.Hold daily conferences with unit staff to review specific patient care and communicate recent policy and procedure changes.Extend courtesy to all unit visitors and assist them in contributing to the emotional needs of all patients.Essential SkillsNYS licensure as an LPN or RNGraduate from an accredited school of nursingGood oral and written communication skillsGood interpersonal skills6+ months of experience in long-term careAdditional Skills & QualificationsExperience supervising support staffExperience working with the elderly populationWork Environment

The position is located in South Brooklyn near Manhattan Beach at a 705-bed rehabilitation hospital. The facility is committed to providing quality care through diverse programs and services. The initial training includes classroom-based learning in the first week and floor orientation in the second week. The schedule requires a minimum commitment of 3 days per week, including rotating weekends. Free parking is available onsite, but public transportation options are limited; staff may need to take the Q train to the B49 or B1 bus.
