Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited License Practical Nursing Program. Actively licensed in NJ as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Two years experience in Ambulatory Care One year of supervisory/ leadership experience BLSHCP certified within six months of hire or transfer. Valid NJ Driver's License required. POSITION SUMMARYThe Clinical Supervisor LPN ensures appropriate training and mentoring to the clinical staff (Medical Assistants, LPNs) as needed to support their clinical competency and workflow / documentation requirements to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. . The Clinical Supervisor is responsible to ensure a comprehensive orientation for orientation for newly hired clinical (MA/ LPNs) staff: Including patient interviews, patient physical exams, patient education, departmental inventory, delivery of quality patient care based upon standards of care and best work flow protocols. The Clinical LPN Supervisor participates in the development and training for the Medical Assistant/ LPN Preceptor Program. This position is also responsible for ensuring competency with the following skills: injections, phlebotomy, diagnostic studies, and periodic auditing of documentation completed by the Clinical Staff in the electronic medical record. This position oversees monthly / quarterly ongoing education for the clinical support staff. The Clinical LPN is very knowledge with the EMR and ensures clinical training includes EMR documentation requirements.
The Clinical Lead is responsible for ensuring regulatory compliance with Point of Care Testing (POCT), proficiency testing and for initial and ongoing POCT competencies for all staff. Additionally, this position ensures compliance with regulatory (DOH, CLIA, and CLIS) protocols and licensure.
This position supports the development of technical protocols and competencies for procedures and medical equipment. The Clinical LPN supervises the Medical Assistant Clinical Specialists. The Clinical LPN Supervisor makes recommendations for improvements and provides input into annual evaluations in collaboration with the practice supervisor.
QUALIFICATIONS
EDUCATION: High School Diploma or equivalent required. Graduate of an accredited License Practical Nursing (LPN) Program required.
LICENSE/CERTIFICATION: Active NJ state LPN license. BLSHCP certified within six months of hire or transfer. Valid NJ Driver's License required.
EXPERIENCE: Minimum of two years of prior experience in Ambulatory care required. One year supervisory experience preferred. Proficiency in Clinical Applications and Microsoft Office preferred at time of hire.

WORK ENVIRONMENT
Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, blood-borne pathogens, and potential injury.
This position requires sitting at a desk or computer a majority of the day. Position also requires frequent standing and walking. Position requires lifting up to 25 lbs. and some pushing and pulling up to 25 lbs. Works with such equipment as computer terminal, fax machine, printer and copier.
