InGenesis is currently seeking License Practical Nurse to work with our client in Coxsackie, NY. In this role, you will provide direct nursing care to individuals and provide support to Registered Nurses.

Job Duties

Observe, identify and document any changes, negative or positive in the condition of the incarcerated individualPromptly report any changes to an RN to facilitate nursing care plansDemonstrate knowledge of basic nursing skills within the framework of case findings, health teaching, counseling and provision of supportive and restorative care under the direction of a Registered Nurse. Administer treatment and medications within established guidelines and as prescribed by licensed health care providerFollow directions given by the facility RNs, a supervising RN or a primary care provider

Qualifications

LPN must be licensed in New York StateValid, current CPR certificationMinimum of one year work experience post licensureMust have experience in fast paced working environments, with medication administrationMust know how to obtain a complete set of vital signs, gather information to report accurately to an RNMust be able to follow directions given by the facility RNs, a supervising RN or a primary care providerMust arrive on time to their scheduled shiftMust be able to complete their assigned work duties in a timely mannerMust possess organizational skills, and work autonomously under an RN.
