Our Primary Care clinic at the plaza is seeking a LPN to join their team! This position will support our physician workflow and clinic. Scheduled hours will be Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm. A typical day for an ambulatory nurse will require thorough and astute clinical assessments in order to expedite the appropriate care and treatment of patients with their provider. They may be interacting with patients in person or through a variety of telecommunication strategies, often establishing long-term relationships. Typically, they focus on patient safety and quality of nursing care by applying appropriate nursing interventions. They identify and clarify patient needs, perform procedures, conduct health education, promote patient advocacy, assist patients to navigate the health care system, and they evaluate patient outcomes. Provides professional nursing care for clinic patients following established standards and practices. Responsible for screening walk-in patients, telephone screening (with protocols), medication/injection education, assist with procedures, cleaning wounds, dressing changes, suctioning, catheter insertion, tracheostomy care, biopsies, diabetic nail care, and other duties as assigned by respective clinic . Able to work in a team atmosphere, as well as, autonomously. Excellent customer service skills and professional demeanor at all times. Delegates tasks to unlicensed assistive personnel UAP in accordance with demonstrated competencies and consideration to Scope of Practice. May be responsible for covering Medical Assistant job duties as needed.
