Sentara Obici Hospital, located in Suffolk, Virginia, is hiring a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our Emergency Room Team.

The Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides basic nursing care under the supervision of an RN or Licensed Independent Practitioner (LIP) in the clinical setting, within the scope of practice dictated by the State Boards of Nursing. The LPN must be detail-oriented, compassionate, and able to handle physically demanding tasks. The LPN is an essential member of the healthcare team offering patient care and supporting higher level nurses and physicians in delivering comprehensive medical services.

Our department has 37 beds to include a dedicated 5-bed Behavioral Health Safe Suite located within the department staffed with dedicated behavioral health nurses, mental health associates, and a social worker that specifically works with the behavioral health patients to ensure they have the right resources.

We treat more than 53,000 visits annually (approximately 150 per day).

Trade School Graduate

License / Certification

Virginia or Compact Multi-State LPN License in good standingBasic Life Support (BLS) within 90 days of hire

Experience

Prefer a minimum of 6 months of LPN experience in an acute care setting.

We provide market-competitive compensation packages, inclusive of base pay, incentives, and benefits. The base pay rate for Full Time employment is:$19.04 - $31.73. Additional compensation may be available for this role such as shift differentials, standby/on-call, overtime, premiums, extra shift incentives, or bonus opportunities.
