LICENSED PRACTICAL NURSE or CERTIFIED MEDICAL ASSISTANT- MCHC- Full Time- Dayshift
Job Summary:

We are seeking a compassionate, self-organized, and detail-oriented LPN or Medical Assistant to join our team. They will work closely with physicians, nurse practitioner, physician assistants, and other healthcare staff to deliver exceptional patient care in a fast-paced environment. The LPN/Medical Assistant will perform both clinical and some administrative duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Clinical Duties:

Patient Care: Greet patients, record medical histories, vital signs, and assist providers and patients as needed during examinations. Assist with Procedures: Prepare patients for exams and to assist provider as needed. Laboratory Work: Collect and process laboratory specimens, prepare specimens for transport, and perform basic in-office lab tests  Medication Management: Administer prescribed medications, vaccines or injections as directed by the provider. Patient/Staff Communication: Answering calls, emails, and messages, providing the providers with the correct information about patients concerns and conditions. Give provider directed patient instructions, test results, or general information as needed. Other Duties as assigned.

General Practice Support:

Equipment Maintenance: Ensure medical is in working order, and the clinic is stocked with necessary supplies. Team Collaboration: Work closely with physicians, nurse practitioner, physician assistants, and other healthcare staff to ensure continuity of care and to support the team in achieving high standards of patient care. Compliance: Adhere to all HIPAA regulations to ensure patient confidentiality and safety Working Conditions: Full-time position a 40 hour work week. Some physical demands, such as standing for long periods, lifting moderate weights, and assisting patients with mobility. A fast-paced, team-oriented environment that requires a positive attitude.

 

MINIMUM EDUCATION, KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED

Skills

Strong understanding of medical terminology, procedures, and clinical practices. Proficient with electronic health record (EHR) systems and basic office software. Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking skills. Ability to interact with patients in a compassionate and professional manner. Knowledge of basic laboratory procedures and patient care techniques.

Education

Graduate of a diploma school of nursing approved by State Board of Nurse Examiners.
Licensed to practice as a licensed practical nurse in Pennsylvania or be a Certified Medical Assistant
