Licensed Psychologist, Sheppard Pratt - The Retreat

Sheppard Pratt is seeking a licensed Psychologist to provide clinical services and coordination of evaluation and assessment services. The Psychologist will provide direct psychological services including psychotherapy, psycho-educational, skills, assessments, and therapeutic groups.  The Psychologist will also collaborate with the program leadership to help coordinate all-inclusive outpatient evaluations for children, adolescents, and adults who present with complicated co-occurring problems related to anxiety, mood, personality, and substance-use disorders. An interdisciplinary team of experts lead by the Psychologist assesses patients and integrates their findings into a comprehensive report. This diagnostic process includes a diagnostic conference with the inter-disciplinary team in which the Psychologist leads the discussion to offer in-depth understanding of the issues and challenges, and provides treatment recommendations to patients, their families, and treatment providers.  Guided by the philosophy of the therapeutic assessment model, the evaluation process is collaborative, respectful, and open so that patients can understand themselves better, and find solutions to their persistent problems.  

Responsibilities:

Coordinating the evaluation services. Completing comprehensive psychological evaluations or targeted assessments to present treatment centered information regarding diagnoses of psychiatric conditions and underlying capacities and challenges of individuals. Developing and conducting psycho educational, skills training, and process group therapy. Providing consultation to other programs within the organization. Providing clinical supervision and didactic training for training purposes.

Requirements:

Ph.D. or Psy.D. from an APA accredited program in clinical or counseling psychology. Current, valid license in Maryland as a Psychologist or license eligible in the State of Maryland. Demonstrated expertise in assessing and treating patients with comorbid psychiatric disorders. Highly effective and clear written and verbal communication, analytic, and critical thinking skills. Superlative interpersonal skills to effectively interact with emotionally dysregulated patients and maintain effective, collaborative, and supportive work relationships. Basic computer skills, timely completing of documentation to meet important deadlines and adhere to accreditation requirements.
