LICENSED PSYCHOLOGIST

 

·         Oversees and performs all aspects of psychological testing including psychological evaluations, administering psychological tests, interpreting and applying findings and making recommendations in case reviews, reports, as well as treatment, home and residential plans.

·         Oversees and revises the school’s evidence based PBIS System by taking data, supervising and analyzing data collection throughout the school, designing behavior interventions, writing behavior support plans and procedures, and analyzing and reporting on individual and school-wide progress.

·         Interprets individual and school-wide progress with PBIS to staff and determines student, family and staff training needs.

·         Shares responsibility with clinical staff for chairing diagnostic conferences, case reviews, treatment planning conferences, crossover meetings and comprehensive treatment planning review conferences.

·         Participates in reviewing, interviewing and evaluating referrals for admissions.

·         Collaborates as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team, composed of clinical, residential and educational and support staff, providing intervention strategies toward the fulfillment of treatment, academic and adaptive goals with the purpose of creating an integrated treatment approach.

·         Provides Progress Reports relating to behavior support needs and social/emotional needs for the student’s Individual Educational Plan (IEP) and participates in Committee on Special Education (CSE) meetings.

·         Has primary case responsibility for students assigned, including, but not limited to psychotherapy, behavioral instruction and support, residential adjustment, determining and monitoring appropriate home visits, and ensuring coordination of transition and futures planning needs in the student’s treatment plan.

·         Provides individual, group, or family therapy as assigned.

·         Provides clinical consultation and crisis intervention services to staff and participate in On-Call rotation.

·         Supervises psychological interns.

·         Provides in-service training for staff.

·         Participates in parent training and family events

·         Plans and assists in research

·         Is a member of the Treatment Team, providing clinical consultation and working cooperatively with other staff members on an as needed basis.

·         Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications - External

·         Ph.D. or Psy. D. in Psychology; and valid Psychology License; School Psychology Certification optional.

·         Experience working with youth with neurodevelopmental disorders and/or Asperger Syndrome.

·         Experience with complex, co-morbid psychiatric and learning disabled special education population.

·         Acceptable clearance checks for State Central Register, driver license and fingerprinting as required by the program.

·         Compliance with health regulations for physical/mantoux testing.

·         Attending TCI class for certification/re-certification and passing a test upon completion of course is a minimum requirement for employment.
