Harrington’s Continuum of Care:
Harrington's Behavioral Health Program is a comprehensive continuum of behavioral health services including programs specializing in adult mental health, addiction and recovery services, school-based services, child and adolescent services, partial hospitalization programs (PHP), intensive outpatient services (IOP), medication management, psychiatric emergency services, and inpatient psychiatry including a co-occurring disorders unit (CDU).
About Child and Family Mental Health Services at Harrington:
We provide behavioral health services to children, adolescents, and young adults, from ages 4-24, and their families Services are available in 3 locations: Southbridge, Webster, and Charlton Services include assessments, group treatment, individual and family therapy, treatment planning, and aftercare planning Medication evaluation and ongoing medication management is available A multi-disciplinary treatment team consisting of licensed and unlicensed clinicians, psychiatrists, and nurse practitioners An expanding bilingual team of clinical, psychiatric, and administrative support services Clinical support and on-site supervision Full-service administrative team to support scheduling, billing, and authorizations Offers onsite and telehealth/ hybrid options for patients (due to COVID) Seamless integration to the Harrington Behavioral Health Continuum of Care Provider and self-referral both welcomeProvide quality treatment to patients (ages 4-24) and their families with varied mental health symptoms and disorders entering into outpatient Child and Family Services. Responsibilities include completing initial assessments, CANS assessments, counseling, group therapy (optional), case presentations to the treatment team, treatment planning, and aftercare planning. Clinicians are also responsible for identifying the need for medication evaluations and making referrals to the on-site providers. Must be able to work as part of a robust clinical team consisting of licensed and unlicensed therapists, prescribers (MDs and NPs), and clinical support staff. Strong clinical skills such as diagnostic ability, as well as communication skills, and organizational/ time management skills are imperative.
Complete all documentation and paperwork specific to the department and in compliance with hospital requirements, DMH, BSAS, The Joint Commission, and insurance providers. Responsible for managing caseload through consultations, collateral contact, and following up with the patient on missed appointments. Maintain current level of professional licensure & maintain CAQH credentialing.Work Experience Requirements: 2 years of experience working with children and families with a variety of mental health disorders in a clinical setting. CANS certified
Education Requirements: Graduation and training from an accredited graduate program (MA/MSW). Current/active unrestricted professional license for the state of Massachusetts (LMHC/ LICSW/ LMFT) required.
