For example: + Mon – Fri: 6pm to 8am = **+$4.50/hr.** Shift Differential + Sat & Sun: 6pm to 8am = **+$8.00/hr.** Shift Differential + Sat & Sun: 8am to 6pm = **+$4.50/hr.** Shift Differential **As a Veterinary Technician, you will:** + Triage emergency cases as they arrive at the hospital and follow them from ER treatment to admission in our intensive care unit. + Perform anesthesia for minor procedures like bite wound repairs, lacerations, etc. + Perform digital radiography, utilizing sedation and other restraint/positioning techniques. + Use your understanding of normal patient vital signs to monitor and identify patients who are at risk for arrest. + Have the opportunity to be certified in both BLS and ALS RECOVER CPR for free + Properly calculate medical math (including constant rate infusions) and administer medications via appropriate routes and duration. + Be proficient at performing phlebotomy and placing intravenous catheters. + Learn to place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters. + Have a passion for mentoring and training other co-workers. + Have patience and empathy to address client concerns. + Additional relevant responsibilities. **Why BluePearl?** **We encourage you to grow with us.** Our **Continuing Education Plan** includes $500/year reimbursement for CVT and $750/year for VTS. The Continuing Education allowance can roll over up to $1,500 for CVT and VTS associates. Non-Credentialed, full-time Paraprofessionals are eligible for an annual CE stipend of $150. Full-time CVT associates also receive 8 hours of CE paid hours each year. Full-time VTS associates receive 12 hours of CE paid each year. Paid CE hours can be carried over year to year up to a maximum of 24 hours.
