Licensed Veterinary Technician (Full-Time)

VCA Knapp’s Corner Animal Hospital is expanding and is seeking a full-time Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our growing team! 

 

Opened at the end of 2024, VCA Knapp’s Corner is dedicated to building a talented and compassionate group of veterinary professionals to serve the West Michigan community. Our hospital prioritizes two essential elements: exceptional care for pets and nurturing meaningful relationships with pet owners. Location: 2078 E Beltline Ave NE, Grand Rapids, MI 49525 

 

Compensation: Compensation is negotiable based on education, experience, and other relevant credentials. 

 

Skills: 

The skills that you will be utilizing include, but are not limited to: 

Physical examinations and patient assessment 

Anesthesia monitoring 

Surgical preparation and assisting 

Dentistry 

Radiology 

Laboratory work 

Venipuncture 

Catheter placement 

Pharmacy 

Patient recovery 

Compassionate care of our hospitalized animals 

 

Qualifications: 

Must have a current veterinary technician certification in the state of Michigan or be eligible to transfer/obtain a certification in MI.  

Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills 

Willingness to jump in as needed and collaborate in a team-oriented environment 

Comfortable asking for help and clarification when needed and eagerness to learn 

Possess high attention to detail
