About the Role:
We are seeking a passionate and skilled Life Cycle Engineer to join our dynamic team. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in shaping the environmental footprint of our global product portfolio. Based in Coventry, with the flexibility of hybrid working, you’ll be responsible for conducting comprehensive Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) of our products, helping us deliver sustainable solutions across the globe.
Key Responsibilities:
Conduct detailed Life Cycle Assessments (LCA) for a diverse portfolio of construction chemical products. As a member of product stewardship team, you’ll work closely in collaboration with the SBM (Speciality Building Material) Marketing team and SG Sustainability team. Identify and evaluate opportunities to reduce the environmental impact of our products, focusing on energy use, resource efficiency, and waste minimization. Develop and maintain LCA models, using appropriate tools and databases to provide accurate and actionable insights. Support sustainability certifications and reporting, ensuring compliance with relevant standards and regulations. Communicate LCA findings effectively to internal stakeholders, customers, and partners to drive informed decision-making.About You: We are looking for someone who is not just technically adept but also passionate about sustainability and making a meaningful difference.
Essential Qualifications and Experience:
A degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, Chemistry, or a related field. Proven experience conducting Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), preferably in the chemical or construction industry but we are open to other industries also. Familiarity with LCA software tools (e.g., GaBi) Strong appetence and skills for data processing and analysis Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with complex datasets. Strong communication skills, with the ability to present technical information to diverse audiences.What We Offer:
