As the Life Enrichment Director, under the guidance of the Housing Director, you will design and oversee an engaging therapeutic activity program that caters to the unique needs, abilities, and interests of our residents. Your work will inspire physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual well-being, helping residents thrive and live life to the fullest.

This is a Full-Time, benefit eligible position working Monday through Friday with occasional evenings/weekends for special events.

Hours: 8:00 am to 4:30 pm 
Pay:  $24.00 -$26.52 / hour depending on experience

Life Enrichment Director responsibilities:

Plan and implement on-going daily activities for the residents including group and individual programs, community outings and outdoor activities. Encourage, support, and assist residents to help continue their individual interests and hobbies.Maintain an open working relationship with the resident's family/guardian.Observe and document activity attendance, mood, behavior, and degree of involvement.Supervise, manage and train activities assistants and volunteers.Prepare and distribute activity calendars and newsletters.Communicate facility programs and organize community events with residents, staff, family and volunteers.Act as a positive representative of the facility at all times.Perform other related tasks as requested.

Life Enrichment Director skills and requirements:

2+ years of recent experience in a patient activity program or Certified Therapeutic Recreational Specialist (CTRS), activities professional or Occupational Therapist Registered (OTR) by a recognized accrediting body.College degree preferred. Basic knowledge of Core standards of Therapeutic Activity Programs/Services. Ability to display enthusiasm and a positive attitude in promoting activities.Ability to manage planning of several activities and events simultaneously. Creative aptitude for training in arts, crafts, and games.Excellent communication skills, including ability to give directions to others in a manner that is pleasant and easily understood.
