Gilbane is seeking a Senior IDC Reviewer to perform all discipline review functions for any complex project, manages IDC reviews and content, and ensures accuracy and timely reporting to internal and external design teams/clients. The Senior IDC Reviewer coordinates and facilitates meetings with design teams and clients throughout the lifecycle of IDC services, may mentor IDC Reviewers, and works under the supervision of the IDC Manager or Senior IDC Manager.

Responsibilities Competent in reviewing ICC & NFPA Codes and StandardsAbility to review construction documents (Drawings & Specifications) to ensure coordination and application of appropriate codes as it pertains toFire Department Access & water supplyEgress SystemsSpecialty requirements such as High Rise, Atriums etc.Mechanical & Fire Alarm SystemsAbility to clearly articulate Life Safety issues in written format. Understands when to apply local jurisdiction requirements and amendmentsInvestigate cross discipline coordination issuesAssist in developing review strategies within their discipline(s).Responsible for the professional appearance of review documents and accuracy of review comments.Creates Coordination Issues in Procore that highlight missing items or items that aren’t coordinated.Ensures timely delivery of reviewAbility to manage multiple project reviews concurrently.Contributes to IDC Policies and Procedures Qualifications

EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION

Architectural, Engineering or Fire Science Degree preferredNFPA CFPE (Certified Fire Protection Examiner) or NFPA CFPS (Certified Fire Protection Specialist) certifications preferred10+ years of experience in the construction field, in a design environment, or in a related fieldArchitectural or Engineering Licensure preferredOr equivalent combination of education and experience

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

Ability to read and understand construction documents and specificationsAdvanced verbal and written communication skillsAbility to innovatively thinkStrong skill set in collaborating with design and client partnersAbility to coach and inspire the entire IDC TeamAbility to be self-disciplined and flexible by changing assignments as workload priorities changeKnowledge of construction means and methodsStrong time management, organization, and attention to detail skillsStrong computer skills within Microsoft Office Suite and IDC software

Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.    

 

This position is open to location.


The salary for this postion ranges from $85,000.00-$121,000.00 plus benefits and retirement program.
