Life Sciences Release Manager

Based in our Austin, Texas location, the Release Manager will be part of the Technology team and be responsible for increasing the flow of value delivery to our customers by scoping, planning, and successfully delivering DeltaV Life Sciences software products. This role will collaborate with the cross-functional release readiness team to ensure readiness for the assigned releases ensuring operational excellence and delivering quality products efficiently.
**In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:**
+ Collaborate with Technology and Marketing stakeholders to define, track, monitor, and manage the scope, schedule, and cost of assigned products and services
+ Develop release forecasts, plans, and key milestones to support release commitments
+ Recommend solutions to resolve release issues, roadblocks, and constraints
+ Work with the cross-functional release readiness team to ensure organizational readiness for assigned releases
+ Ensure compliance with Emerson's new product development process, legislative requirements, and safety and cybersecurity standards
+ Communicate status and raise issues to keep Process Systems & Solutions leadership and the broader organization informed of overall progress
+ Support portfolio management and prioritization activities

**For this Role, You will need:**
+ Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related STEM field and 8 years of experience in technology, marketing, program/project management, or related experience
+ At least 3 years of experience managing and successfully delivering software projects, programs, or releases
+ Experience managing multiple long-term projects simultaneously to a successful outcome
+ Strong communication and presentation skills
+ Ability to travel occasionally (up to 10%) including internationally
+ Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship now or in the future
**Preferred Qualifications that Set You Apart**
+ Familiarity with the life sciences industry or process automation
+ Experience in Agile methodology for software development
+ Demonstrated success and comfort in both addressing and managing ambiguity in a matrixed organization
+ Experience in helping teams becoming more efficient
