Position: Senior Accountant for Senior Living

Hours: Monday through Friday, 8am-5pm. Full-time, 1.0 FTE

Location: Hybrid, would have regular travel to St. Louis Park office

Wage: $140,000-$160,000 annually, depending on experience

We are seeking a Senior Data Scientist to join our team, responsible for leveraging healthcare data to enhance patient outcomes, improve operational efficiency, and optimize contractual performance. In this role, you will collaborate with stakeholders across the organization—including executive leadership, finance, operations, and clinical teams—to address complex data challenges, build predictive models, and extract actionable insights that inform key strategic and operational decisions. As a technical leader within the analytics team, you will provide mentorship, guidance, and a forward-looking vision for the organization’s data science initiatives.

 

Key Responsibilities

Develop, implement, and optimize advanced statistical and machine learning models to tackle high-impact healthcare challenges. Lead end-to-end data science projects, ensuring alignment with business objectives, data accuracy, and timely delivery of actionable solutions. Gather, clean, and preprocess diverse healthcare datasets, including clinical (e.g., electronic health records), claims, enrollment, CMS, and public/private datasets. Conduct exploratory data analysis to uncover trends, detect anomalies, and identify areas for process improvement within the healthcare ecosystem. Apply statistical techniques to analyze a variety of performance metrics, such as patient outcomes, operational efficiency, financial performance, treatment efficacy, and disease trends. Mentor and guide junior members of the data analytics team, supporting their professional development and helping to build a collaborative, high-performance culture. Provide strategic technical direction to ensure data science initiatives align with organizational goals and drive actionable business outcomes.

 

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field (e.g., Data Science, Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics) with at least 5 years of healthcare experience, or a Master’s/PhD in Data Science or a related field. 

Skills & Expertise

Expertise in data collection, interpretation, and analysis, particularly in healthcare-related datasets. Strong proficiency in statistical methods and machine learning algorithms. Advanced proficiency in SQL for data manipulation and querying. Experience with programming languages and tools commonly used in data science (e.g., Python, R, TensorFlow). Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and critical-thinking skills. Proven ability to present complex data insights to both technical and non-technical stakeholders. Excellent organizational, communication, and project management skills.
