Lifestyle Show Host

We are searching for the next host for our hour-long Lifestyle Show. The style of show is segment and interview based, highlighting events and unique story telling here in Southern Colorado. The skill set we are looking for will require strong ad-libbing and interview skills. A college degree in broadcasting or related major is preferred with at least 2-3 years’ experience. Familiarity with I-News, Adobe Premier Editing System and the Ross automated system puts you way ahead of the game.

Qualifications

• Must have strong editorial judgement, research experience, effective communication, compelling and accurate writing and project management skills

• Experienced with shooting, writing and editing lifestyle show segments

• Proven experience as host or on-air personality

• Ability to juggle and prioritize multiple projects

• Must be energetic and positive; and contribute to a productive team environment

• Must be a highly motivated self-starter

• Experience working in Bitcentral and I-News

• Bachelor’s degree in film, television, news or a related field, or equivalent experience

 

Responsibilities

• Interviewing guests/clients both in studio and on location

• Competent in finding, shooting and editing engaging stories

• Researching show topics and developing questions

• Greeting and assisting guests/clients during show preparations

• Assisting and working with Account Executives on sales presentations and meetings with clients

• Plan and produce an energetic, informative show through creative ideas, segments and interviews

• Assist in maintaining and updating social media accounts

 

COMPENSATION RANGE:
Annual Salary: $45k - and up, commensurate with experience
