Job Summary/Description:
If you've dreamed of the chance to host your own show about places to see, people to meet, and things to eat, this is the ultimate opportunity. WIS is looking for a driven, creative, and proactive Show Host and Content Creator to join Soda City Living, our weekday lifestyle television show reaching audiences throughout South Carolina's Midlands.
Duties/Responsibilities include (but not limited to):
• On-camera personality hosting a daily broadcast television show
• Interview show guests and station clients both in-studio and on-location
• Research, shoot, write, edit, and present stories for multiple platforms on-air and online, including sponsored content
• Assist the Show Producer with writing segments
• Prospect local businesses for show content
• Research show topics and develop questions for guests in coordination with the Producer
• Closely work with the sales team on sponsored content to exceed client expectations
• Other duties as assigned
Qualifications/Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Advertising, Film/Video, Journalism, or another related field
• Experience as a host or on-air personality. Reel required
• Experience shooting and editing video required, specifically with Adobe CS proficiency. ENPS experience is a plus
• Familiarity with social media best practices (Facebook/Twitter/TikTok/Instagram/YouTube)
• Ability to produce video content in the field independently
• Strong writing and proof-reading skills
• Comfortable ad-libbing and interviewing without a script
• Ability to prioritize and address multiple projects with varying production timelines
• Must be a highly motivated self-starter, able to work well independently and as part of a team
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Strong customer service skills are a must
• Drivers license and good driving record is required
• Ability to pay careful attention to detail while under the pressure of deadlines
• Strong ability to find answers and solve problems
