Lifestyle Show Producer/MMJ

Join our Creative Services staff and highlight the Colorado lifestyle and showcase some of the area’s best businesses. Our ‘Great Day Colorado’ Lifestyle Show Producer/MMJ will produce and booth the show, but also, report, shoot, write, and edit segments as assigned.

Duties:

Writes and approves scriptsWorks with hosts on interviews and on location segmentsBalances content to create compelling showsArranges interviews with people who can provide information about segmentsReviews copy and corrects errors in content, grammar and punctuation, following prescribed editorial style and formatting guidelinesShoots and edits client and show segmentsHighlights businesses for broadcast, describing the background and details of locations and eventsWork with paying clients to isolate vital marketing pointsPitches lifestyle content to managers, producers and hosts that is relevant to the local communityDiscusses issues with producers and/or managers to establish priorities Revises work to meet approval or to fit time requirementsEnsures that all content meets company standards for production qualityWrites stories for the web and other eMedia platformsInteracts with viewers/users on social media sitesPerforms other duties as assigned

Requirements & Skills:

Bachelor’s degree in Broadcast Journalism, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and work-related experiencePositive, collaborative attitude with a problem-solving outlookFluency in EnglishExcellent communication skills, both oral and written with the ability to ad lib when requiredMinimum two years’ experience in reporting and/or producingShooting and editing experienceProficiency with ENPS and BitcentralAbility to meet deadlines, prioritize assignments and handle multiple tasks simultaneouslyValid driver’s license with a good driving recordFlexibility to work any shift

Salary 60-65k annually
