Lift Maintenance Assistant
Overview As the Lift Maintenance Helper you will be responsible for assisting lift mechanics in performing all routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs under the guidance of the maintenance manager and senior mechanics to ensure safe use and transportation for guests and employees. Maintain, repair and insure safe operation of all The Highlands chairlifts, carpets and other cable rope transportation systems. Able to stand and sit for long periods of time, use ladders and work at variable heights up to 50 feet. Prepare and safety check lifts for daily operation before Lift Operations arrives. Be able to complete lift start-up procedures independently. Perform scheduled routine maintenance as well as diagnostic maintenance. Maximize safety within all aspects of the department. Maintain a clean, safe and organized work environment. Maintain certifications, licenses and training as necessary. Assist with documentation using Manager Plus Application Be able to understand and follow all ANSI, State, and Federal Guidelines. Assist in other tasks as determined by the Lift Maintenance Manager, including but not limited to; lift construction, refinishing, lift operations, and other resort needs. Be able to think critically and pay attention to detail. Willing and able to participate in all maintenance needs. Maintain a positive attitude consistently, including during high stress situations. Be able to work concurrently with all Resort staff and encourage a productive work environment. Qualifications Must have a valid drivers license Experience in lift maintenance or lift operations preferred, but not required Must be able to lift/carry up to 75 pounds Must be able to be on your feet for hours at a time Comfortable working outdoors in summer/winter including inclement weather Work environment can be loud at times. Including being around operating equipment and inside motor houses with running machinery. *Single Bed, no pets. If interested, inquire during job interview
