Eldora is the backyard winter mountain playground for Greater Denver, Boulder County, and Colorado's northern Front Range. Eldora is located just outside of the charming mountain town of Nederland, Colorado, about 20 miles west of Boulder and less than 50 miles from downtown Denver.

Eldora strives to deliver Colorado’s Front Range the most memorable outdoor adventures to locals and out-of-town visitors.   Eldora Mountain Resort employs up to 700 employees at peak season and has 680 acres of lift-accessible terrain for skiing and snowboarding, including a Woodward Mountain Park experience, and a world class Nordic Center.

Job Summary/Overview:

Lift Operators are responsible for the safe and efficient operation of mountain ski lifts including helping guests on and off the ski lifts.  They are also responsible for maintaining the lift areas for snow removal and safe, organized, and professional work environments.

Daily Schedule:

•Shift begins at 7:10am on weekends and 7:30am on weekdays (Start times are subject to change and be as early as 6:00am for events, holidays and snow removal)

•Shift Ends at 4:30pm (End times are subject to change with events and evacuation trainings)

Monitors lifts and personnel for Tramway compliance, this includes all signage and licensing, normal and emergency procedures, opening, operating, and closing proceduresMaintains daily log books and related documentsParticipates in all phases of the job: opening, operational hours, and closing liftsVery thorough and accurate on all paperworkExhibits support for Customer Service initiativesMust be flexible with schedule to accommodate opening and closing needs and special eventsResponsible for compliance with mountain safety practices to minimize injuries and unsafe practicesResponsible for compliance with Tramway Safety Board and OSHA regulationsMaintain the safe and continuous operation of the ski liftsAssist passengers in the safe loading and unloading of lifts, while providing excellent customer service by interacting with guestsMaintain load and unload ramps and areas around all lift stations by shoveling and/or raking snowOrganize the maze to provide orderly and friendly access to the lift and manage crowds for efficient loadingBe familiar with all policies, procedures and rules regarding operating and riding a ski lift and ensure that these are followed by staff and guestsMaintain a neat clean appearance including personal presentation, lift equipment and the surrounding areaWorks well in a team environmentIs a champion of Play Forever, Powdr’s corporate responsibility commitment to protect the environment and support our community in Eldora’s everyday operations

Compensation:

Compensation: Proposed hiring rate of $18+, actual pay will be adjusted based on experience.Benefits: This is a seasonal position eligible for season pass for employees/dependents and privileges at several other resorts.  Several discount programs (i.e. food & beverage, retail/rental, tickets, etc.) also available.
